Being an adoptive mom can be stressful. There will always be questions even if your child is not in reunion. And if they are, that is a whole new situation and feeling to navigate.
My mom has been open and honest about my adoption story. My parents never kept anything from me.
I want to use my experience to help struggling adoptive moms navigate relationship with adoptive children and any biological relationships that may appear.
I am inclusive and want to help adoptees and birth mother, too. So, the second Thursday of the month will be reserved for Adoptive Moms and the issues they face. Adoptees are on the first Thursday and Birth Mothers are on the third Thursday. The last Thursday is reserved for Frequent asked Questions (FAQ) from the month.
Many adoptive mom problems center around building relationships. When there are broken relationships with others, self and God, contentment is harder to find. Those are the topics I want us to consider. When those three parts are addressed, the whole is much healthier.
Adoption Reimagined will help you do just that: re-imagine what it could be like to build and maintain good relationships, repair broken relationships or become content when there is no relationship. I can provide strategies that my parents used and that worked for me to build relationships and what to do when those strategies don't work.
As a Certified Life Coach and Mental Health Coach, I will help you plan how to build strong bonds with your adopted child and how to navigate bonds created when biological families come into the picture.
